THE PROBLEM

Frosty was hit by a car resulting in multiple fractures in the pelvis and hind legs, Frosty was suffering severe trauma and had no feeling or movement, as well as Cardiovascular collapse from shock,  and no motor or sensory in hind legs.

Frosty spent 5 days in intensive care before we could operate because of internal bleeding into the lacerated muscles, during this time his legs were splinted.

Radiography Results

Right femur compound fracture,
Right tibia and fibula fracture, the pelvic girdle was totally shattered, including multiple compound fractures of hind legs and pelvis, and poor little Frosty was in severe pain.

First Surgery March 2018

Sadly 1 month after surgery, bone begin to decay due to poor circulation knuckling on hind legs.

We had to remove plates and screws and necrotic bone due to no healing at all during this time.

We injected stem cells and started laser therapy
3 months after surgery tried to save left hind leg repined the condyle for 4 months still no union after 4 months, pulled everything out and started again.

Learn more about how K-Laser therapy helps in this process.

Creating Another Solution

Almost a year later replated with a T plate and 5 screw in left leg so the joint would have movement and this has saved his leg from amputation, used bone glue to try get the bone to form a Calais.

A year later Frosty is running around the park as you can see in the video. Frosty has had a total of 12 surgeries, the first 2 were 5.5 hours, the others being 2-3 hours, a total of 26 hours of operations. What a survivor! Remembering he is only 2.5 kg.
